Install the Tenwrite Plugin

Install the Tenwrite plugin on your self-hosted WordPress site before you try to sync SEO fields from Tenwrite.

Without the plugin, Tenwrite can still export content, but supported SEO fields will not be bridged into Yoast SEO or Rank Math.

Make sure you have:

• a self-hosted WordPress site
• WordPress admin access with permission to install plugins
• optionally, Yoast SEO and/or Rank Math already installed

Once the plugin is published in the WordPress.org plugin directory, install it like any other WordPress plugin:

1. Log in to your WordPress admin area.
2. Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
3. Search for Tenwrite.
4. Find the plugin in the results.
5. Click Install Now.
6. After installation finishes, click Activate.

The plugin should then appear in Plugins as Tenwrite: Publish Google Docs to Any Site.

The bridge supports:

• Yoast SEO
• Rank Math

If one of those plugins is active, the Tenwrite plugin syncs the supported SEO fields into that plugin’s post meta fields.

If neither plugin is active, the Tenwrite plugin still stores the supported SEO data on the post, but nothing is mirrored into vendor-specific SEO fields yet.

After activation:

1. Go to Tools > Tenwrite.
2. Confirm the diagnostics page loads.
3. Check Detected Adapters to see whether Yoast SEO or Rank Math was found.
4. Check REST Meta Registration to confirm the plugin is ready.

Once the plugin is active:

• connect your WordPress site to Tenwrite
• export Google Docs to WordPress
• use SEO fields with the plugin
