Sync Post

Sync Post re-exports a linked Google Doc into one existing post or page.

Use it when your Google Doc is the source of truth and you want the live content on WordPress or Blogger to match the latest version of that document.

When you run Sync Post, Tenwrite:

  • uses the linked Google Doc as the source
  • updates the existing post or page
  • keeps the same destination item instead of creating a new one

In WordPress and Blogger, the menu label stays Sync Post even when the selected row is a page.

The row must already be linked to a Google Doc.

If there is no linked Google Doc, this action is not available.

  1. Open WordPress > Posts or Blogger > Posts.
  2. Switch between Posts and Pages if needed.
  3. Open the row’s Options menu.
  4. Click Sync Post.

Tenwrite then opens a confirmation modal before starting the sync.

Use Sync Post when:

  • you edited the original Google Doc after the content was already published
  • you want to refresh one specific post or page
  • you want to update site content from the document without creating a duplicate entry

Sync Post is not the same as Sync Site Content.

  • Sync Post pushes one linked Google Doc out to one existing post or page
  • Sync Site Content pulls the latest site content back into Tenwrite’s index

If you changed something directly in WordPress or Blogger and only want Tenwrite to re-read that site state, use Sync Site Content.

When sync starts, Tenwrite shows a syncing state for that row. Once it finishes, the existing post or page is updated from the linked Google Doc.

The overall behavior is the same on both platforms:

  • WordPress updates the existing WordPress post or page
  • Blogger updates the existing Blogger post or page
