AI SEO Metadata, Categories, Tags, and Image Alt Text
Tenwrite can help fill in publishing details for an article you have already written. Generate selected fields in the web dashboard, review the suggestions, and edit them before exporting. You can also request AI in Drive and Sheets automations.
What can AI generate?
Section titled “What can AI generate?”| Destination | Supported fields |
|---|---|
| Self-hosted WordPress | SEO title, meta description, focus keyword, categories and tags for posts, and image alt text |
| WordPress.com | Categories and tags for posts, and image alt text |
| Blogger | Labels and image alt text |
For WordPress SEO metadata, install the Tenwrite WordPress plugin and use supported Yoast SEO or Rank Math fields. Set canonical URLs and indexing settings manually when needed.
Generate and review before publishing
Section titled “Generate and review before publishing”- Select your connected site and document in the web dashboard.
- In the publishing form, find Generate with AI and select the fields you want help with. Fields supplied by document frontmatter stay controlled by the Doc.
- Check the available credits and click Generate. Ordinary Export, Update, or Save actions do not start AI generation by themselves.
- Review and edit the generated values. For image alt text, check each image’s suggested description before export.
- Export the article or save your post update when you are ready.
AI suggestions still need your review. Check that SEO text describes the article, categories fit your site, and alt text describes the image’s purpose accurately. Generating suggestions does not rewrite your source document.
Choose categories, tags, and labels
Section titled “Choose categories, tags, and labels”Open AI Settings in the web dashboard and select a site. By default, Tenwrite suggests existing WordPress categories and tags or existing Blogger labels.
The site owner can enable Allow new tags and categories or Allow new labels when new terms are needed. Automations can create approved new terms when that option is enabled. You can also set a maximum of 1–10 tags or labels; the default is 5.
WordPress pages do not use post categories and tags.
Use AI in Drive and Sheets automations
Section titled “Use AI in Drive and Sheets automations”Use the exact value #GENERATE# in a supported field to request AI. Leave your normal values in fields you want to set yourself.
For example, a self-hosted WordPress Doc’s frontmatter table can include:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
seo_title | #GENERATE# |
seo_description | #GENERATE# |
focus_keyword | #GENERATE# |
categories | #GENERATE# |
tags | #GENERATE# |
image_alt_text | #GENERATE# |
Use supported columns with the same field names in Sheets automation. For Blogger, use labels and image_alt_text. Drive automation reads the markers from the Doc’s frontmatter.
Blank fields do not request AI. Values you supply continue to follow the usual publishing rules. A populated Doc frontmatter field takes precedence over the corresponding Sheet value.
Automations do not wait for a review click. Use a draft publishing status if you want to review the resulting article in your CMS before it goes live. Check the run messages for skipped fields, warnings, and credit usage. If credits are unavailable, AI-marked fields are left empty and the run reports that result; do not rely on AI to supply a required value.
Plans and credits
Section titled “Plans and credits”- Pro: 30 AI credits per month.
- Agency: 75 AI credits per month, shared across members using that Agency account.
- Existing Pro and Lifetime plans: 30 AI credits per month.
- Free and Starter: no included AI generation credits. Manual publishing details and supported WordPress SEO metadata controls remain available.
The allowance resets on the first day of each calendar month in UTC. Unused credits do not roll over.
One generation pass with usable results uses one credit for the selected fields, including image alt text. Manual generation spends that credit when useful suggestions are returned, even if you later decide not to publish. Generation with no usable result does not spend a credit. Automation credits are settled when the CMS write is confirmed.
AI credits are separate from your export allowance. Agency’s unlimited exports do not mean unlimited AI generation. Open AI Settings to check your allowance and usage, or compare plans.
